After 13 years at Henry's on the Beach, it is with deep regret that we are having to close. Business has been going down and costs have been going up, especially with no Convention Hall, Movie Theater and Tisha's and the Oasis were both forced to leave, the area no longer attracts anyone. We have tried to negotiate with the city for a reduction in rent because of convention hall being closed for 3 years but that didn't work out. We aggressively re-bid on the promise that a new larger convention hall would be completed by 2011, which is not happening.
We are so grateful to all of you who have been customers over the years and sorry that we can no longer be there for you. A very special thanks to our wonderful employees for the many years of service and friendship, some of you have been here since we opened and we appreciate your loyalty over the years. We have been very involved in Cape May and have served in many capacities to help make Cape May a better place for our residents and visitors and we are saddened that we will no longer have a business in the city of Cape May. So thanks again and hopefully we will see you at Harpoon Henry's, our restaurant in North Cape May.
